Privacy Policy
Last updated September 15, 2026.
This policy describes what Newport Peptide Society ("the Society," "we") collects when you use newportpeptidesociety.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect. If you ask to be contacted from the sign-in page, we record the name, email address, phone number, and note you enter. When you accept an invitation we record your email address, your name if you give it, and which member invited you. When you order we record your shipping address, the titles you bought, the amounts paid, and the shipping and tracking details. Our servers log the technical information any website receives, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We do not collect health information, and we do not ask why you are buying a guide.
How we use it. A contact request is used only to have a member of the Society reach out to you about membership; it is shared with our staff for that purpose and nothing else, and it does not create an account. Otherwise: to sign you in (we send single-use links to your email instead of using passwords), to print and ship your order, to email you order confirmations and tracking numbers, to answer your questions, to keep records for tax and accounting, and to operate and secure the site. We use your invitation history to understand how membership grows. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or share it with data brokers.
Who else sees it. We use service providers to run the business, and each receives only what it needs: a payment processor (Stripe) for card payments, which handles your card details directly so we never see them; an email delivery service (Resend) to send sign-in links and order emails; a hosting provider (Vercel) and a database provider (Neon) to run the site; and shipping carriers, who receive your name and address to deliver your order. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the Society's rights.
Cookies. We set one cookie, which keeps you signed in for 30 days. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Signing out deletes the cookie.
Your choices. You can update your name and shipping details when you order. You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account and personal information, subject to records we must keep for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes. Write to the support address in the site footer. If you are a California resident you have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete, and not be discriminated against; we do not sell personal information.
Retention. We keep account and order records for as long as your membership is active and for the period required by tax and accounting rules afterward. Contact requests are kept until we have reached out and for a reasonable time afterward, or until you ask us to delete them. Email logs and sign-in tokens are kept only as long as needed to operate the site.
Security. We use encrypted connections, hashed sign-in tokens, and access controls, and we never store card numbers. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you if a breach affects your information as the law requires.
Children. The Society is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes. We will post any change to this policy here with a new date, and log it on our What Changed page.
